HOW TO ACTUALLY MAKE THESE — The Honest Version

Lye must be calculated per batch, never copied from a recipe. Every oil has its own saponification value, and the exact sodium hydroxide amount depends on the precise weight of each oil in the batch. Run every formula above through a real lye calculator (SoapCalc or Soapmaking Friend) at the stated superfat before making anything. A fixed lye number printed here would be falsely precise and genuinely dangerous if the batch size changed.

Lye safety is not optional: goggles, gloves, ventilation. Always add lye to water — never water to lye. No aluminum equipment, ever (stainless steel, silicone, or HDPE only).
